I wanted to see the difference the fibers would make in this pattern. I used McCall's Creates Pretty Pillows with Ribbon Embroidery #16315. The first one I used silk ribbon. The second one I used two different metallic gold threads. the last was done with cotton perle #5. That was very interesting. There are other patterns in this book that I want to do also. |

Stem Stitch
I had a piece of bookmark fabric so I did the stem stitch on it. I tried it in a few different threads and found I like this one best. The rayon makes a beautiful shiny stitch but it frays to bad. This one is DMC cotton perle #5. My stash is very small so I know what I am going to be asking Santa for Christmas! |

Fly Stitch
I am finding that the more I stitch, the more I want to stitch. There are so many variations on these stitches that I don't know where to leave off. |

The apron
I finished the apeon for my sister. She liked it very much! She thought the inside was as pretty as the top.

Detached Chain Stitch
I pray Carol Leather doesn't behead me for murdering her strawberry at http://www.needlework-tips-and-techniques.com/lazy-daisy-stitch.html . I am going to try it again after I get a little proficient at embroidery. The strawberry was done in 5 coton perle and the fireworks were done with stranded cotton. |

This is my try at the chevron stitch. The fibers and scraps of fabric were given to me so I have no way of naming them. Some are plain to see but most are not. This is fun and after I learn a few stitches I figured I would get serious! :-) |

Backstitch
At Stichin Fingers, I am stiching along with the group. Here is my first attempt at making some pages for a sampler. I can use a few of the many stitching graphics I have collected. Anytime someone is offering free patterns, I just can't resist. This sampler is turning out to be fun!

I am trying to learn to embroidery. It seems like I don't have the nack for photography but I am still gonna keep trying. This is a pocket for an apron! I have used hot-fix crystals on my cards and thoought I would try on cloth.

To get a clear shot it is too small and to zoom in on it- too blurry! Haven't learned to use this thing right yet!! :)

Ribbon embroidery
I have been trying to incorporate my other crafts into my card making. My Mother and sister could not tell that this was suppose to be a bird. LOL I had a great time doing it. |

csayl #63
My photo taking leaves a lot to be desired. No matter how hard I try, pictures with metalics always give me trouble. There are 4 star brads on the corner of the silver mat. |

You Will Be missed!
My friend Rita , introduced me to cardmaking and other crafts. When I met her I was making them on the computer. She passed away last week and because she was alergic to flowers, I made some out of paper. A few friends stopped in and gave me a hand with making the flowers!
I am forever in her debt for the love and friendship she bestowed on me!
